Cloudflare – Server Status and Quick Availability Check

Here you can check the availability of “https://www.cloudflare.com/“, where you will find Cloudflare.

This check is about operator’s website, not necessarily about the app itself. If the app is experiencing a massive outage, the website may also be down.

If it’s an application bug or something else, this check isn’t that useful.

    What is Cloudflare

Cloudflare is a global cloud services provider that focuses on Content Delivery Network (CDN), cybersecurity, and Internet infrastructure services. Its primary goal is to make websites and web applications faster, more secure, and more reliable for businesses and individuals. Rather than hosting websites itself, Cloudflare acts as an intermediary or reverse proxy that sits between a website’s visitors and its origin server (the actual location where the website is hosted). This positioning allows Cloudflare to inspect and route all incoming web traffic, providing services like distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack mitigation, a Web Application Firewall (WAF), and secure access via SSL/TLS encryption.

The core of how Cloudflare works lies in its massive, globally distributed network of data centers, often referred to as its “edge network.” When a website uses Cloudflare, its traffic is routed through this network by changing its Domain Name System (DNS) settings to point to Cloudflare’s servers. Cloudflare’s CDN functionality works by caching (temporarily storing) copies of a website’s static content—like images, CSS, and JavaScript—on the nearest edge server to a visitor. When a user requests a page, Cloudflare serves the cached content from this close-proximity server, significantly reducing the physical distance the data has to travel (latency) and speeding up the page load time. For dynamic content (which changes often), Cloudflare uses intelligent routing to find the fastest path to the origin server.

Simultaneously, this edge network provides robust security features. Before any request reaches the origin server, Cloudflare’s system analyzes it for potential threats. The Web Application Firewall filters out common attacks like SQL injection and cross-site scripting. In the event of a DDoS attack, where an attacker attempts to overwhelm a server with massive amounts of junk traffic, Cloudflare’s vast network acts as a sponge, absorbing the malicious traffic and preventing it from ever reaching and crippling the website’s main server. This setup shields the origin server’s true IP address, adding an essential layer of anonymity and defense against direct attacks, ensuring high availability and continuous service.

What to Do When Cloudflare Won’t Work

Here you can check if other users are experiencing outages or errors. If they are, the problem is likely not with your device, and you’ll need to wait for the developers to release a fix. If you’re experiencing issues yourself, reporting them helps other players understand the situation.

    1. Refresh and Retry

Sometimes the issue is temporary. Try:

    • Refreshing the page.
    • Logging out and back in.
    • Restarting your browser or clearing its cache.

    2. Test Your Internet Connection

Ensure your connection is stable. A weak or unstable internet connection can interfere with loading or interacting with a website hosted on Cloudflare.

    3. Wait Patiently

If it’s a global outage, your best option is to wait. Engineering teams typically act fast to resolve service disruptions, often within minutes or hours.

This page serves only as a way to easily share information about outages of services. It is up to the operators of these services to resolve reported outages.
