Messenger is one of the most used chat apps in the world, but like WhatsApp, it is owned by Meta.

This means in practice that when an outage hits Messenger, WhatsApp usually doesn’t work either, and of course vice versa. That’s why we list this app only as a last alternative.

But you can definitely try Messenger if it works, it is a very good replacement until WhatsApp starts working again.
