Disney Plus Is Down? Current Problems, Outages and Solutions
Is Disney not working? See other users’ reports
In the above graph, you can see the error reports from other users of the Disney Plus (Disney+) streaming service.
If you are experiencing errors or outages yourself, you can report them to Disney by clicking the button above the graph. By reporting, you and other users will know if the service is now error-prone, unavailable, overloaded, or otherwise experiencing problems. If there are multiple reports, everyone is more likely to know that it’s a problem on Disney’s end that the company itself needs to fix.
But we can solve some problems on our own. Below you’ll find possible reasons why Disney Plus isn’t working and how to possibly fix the service. As well as reasons we can’t do anything about and will need to wait.
If you’re experiencing specific problems, feel free to describe them in the comments below, where someone else may have also encountered the same error and knows the fix.

Quick availability check on DisneyPlus.com
Here you can check the availability of https://www.disneyplus.com/, the homepage of the official website.
The check is done by trying to connect to Disneyplus.com. If we are successful and within the time limit, the check is successful, which you will see by the green button.
If, on the other hand, the site is down for some reason or the connection took too long, the check fails and the button turns red.
It should also be said that we only check the connection to the site, i.e. not other functions or applications, broken or unavailable videos, playback choppiness and other similar errors.
So if the site itself is working but the videos cannot be played, for example, this is a clear failure, but the check would be successful in this case. In this case, please report the outage at the top of this page or describe the error in the comments.
This will then help other users who will not try to fix the problems on their device, but will know that the error is not on their side.
How to fix possible problems with Disney Plus
Disney Plus is one of the largest online streaming services (in competition with Netflix and HBO Max, with the likes of YouTube working slightly differently and offering a different type of content).
Disney has its own brands and family films and shows under its wing, as well as studios like Pixar, Lucas Film (hence the rights to the Star Wars lore), Marvel Studios (and hence the Marvel Cinematic Universe – the MCU, which includes all the films around the Avengers), but also offers National Geographic documentaries.
Thanks to the purchase of 21st Century Fox (formerly 20th Century Fox), which was completed in 2019, Disney also has in its collection the rights to comic book movies that it previously did not have the license to (especially Fantastic Four, X-Men or Deadpool), as well as a huge number of more adult films and series that, by acquiring the studio, it can offer on Disney . In principle, for the first time, we can also legally access a lot of content in the Czech Republic that was otherwise extremely difficult to access or not available at all, or without Czech support.
All in all, on the Disney service you can find a huge number of films, series or documentaries not only for children, but also for adults. Despite the name Disney, it is not a streaming service with all fairy tales, but a full-fledged product that offers something for everyone, and it is probably the most versatile service of its kind, offering enough entertainment and content for every viewer.
Like any online service, Disney sometimes encounters outages. Sometimes it’s an error on the part of the operator, other times it’s a problem on our device. We’ll look at the various reasons and possible solutions to get Disney back up and running.
Is something not working or not playing? Try Disney Plus on another device
Disney Plus is available on your computer, tablet, mobile, and even as an app on smart TVs. There are a number of different apps, which also means that there could be a bug or imperfection from the operator’s perspective, or incompatibility with a device.
In practice, if Disney doesn’t work on your TV, for example, it may be a bug in the app. So try other devices, such as your computer or phone. If everything works on one device but not on the other, it’s quite possible that it’s a bug in the app or on the device in question, which may not be connected to the internet properly, the internet may have gone down today, or the app may be stuck and needs to be restarted.
On the other hand, if you can’t get Disney Plus on either device and your internet connection is otherwise fine, it’s probably a bug on the operator’s end that they’ll have to fix, so we’ll have to wait and see.
Disney Plus on TV is quite sensitive to network changes
If you’re using Disney Plus on TV, we may experience a non-functioning service if we change the way we connect to the internet. That is, if we change the wi-fi network, connect via cable, etc.
The app itself may then work when browsing, but we encounter an error message when we try to launch it.
If something like this happens, try turning the Disney Plus app off and on again, or you can turn the whole TV off and on.
From experience, unplugging and plugging the TV from the mains may also help. Sometimes these devices remember different settings, and even turning it off and on may not help. This is why you need to turn the TV off, unplug it for a while, and plug it back in.
Typos in the Disneyplus.com address or wrong domain extension
Disney operates in a number of countries, but everywhere at disneyplus.com, which is translated into a language that can be changed in the settings.
All other domains are incorrect, as are endings like .eu, .co.uk and others. Thus, only and only .com is correct.
This version is then translated into the language in the settings, much like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and many others have.
Blocking on trusted wi-fi or at work
Public wi-fi networks may block streaming content to avoid being overloaded, or simply not fast enough to run videos on.
Even an employer can block various sites and services on work devices and networks, including Disney .
In both cases, you need to use your own device and your own network, typically mobile data.
Disney is experiencing outages and needs to wait for a fix
If you’re seeing multiple reported outages, it’s very likely that Disney Plus simply isn’t working. In this case, there’s not much you can do and you need to wait for the service to work again.
How long is then uncertain and depends on how major the outage is and how quickly things can be fixed.
For more information, here are also links to Disney Plus itself and its profiles on other social media sites, where you can find out more about the current outage and usually a tentative repair time.

This error means that for some reason there is an incompatibility between the app and your TV typically Samsung or LG.
It doesn’t mean that the TV is incompatible, just that the app is stuck, so to speak. However, there is all sorts of data stored on the TV that needs to be gotten rid of in order for the Disney app to catch up again.
Solution: You need to soft reboot your TV, i.e. turn the TV off and on to clear the short-term memory. This can be done by using the remote to hold the TV on/off button until the TV turns off and back on. You can also turn the TV off in the normal way and unplug it for at least 30 seconds, ideally for a minute. When you unplug the TV, you can reset other devices like your modem in the same way, which will reset your internet connection, which can also help.
